Christ Church was established in 1817. The historical and architectural significance of the Church has been recognized in its designation as a Heritage Property. The Cemetery, owned by Christ Church since 1817, occupies lands that were part of the Quaker Cemetery that dates back to the founding of Dartmouth in the 1750's.
